Former U.S. Senator/Ambassador Carol Moseley Braun wants you to know that she is anything BUT A CRACKHEAD. That's what made news yesterday when Mrs. Moseley Braun brought up the past drug use of fellow candidate Patricia Van-Pelt Watkins.
Braun's comments were in response to Watkins saying that Moseley Braun had been missing in action for almost 20 years. (Well, actually it's only been 12 because Braun lost her reelection bid in November 1998)
It was almost like a scene from the 1989 film Lean On Me where Principal Joe Clark (played by Morgan Freeman) asked a student: "You smoke crack, don't ya?"
Don't jump, Mrs. Watkins! Braun just wanted to call somebody a crackhead. But my friend's momma said you should have responded, "That's about how long it's been since you got your hair done." (referring to Braun's interesting choice of wigs lately)
Early voting started today. I'm pretty sure Watkins has the sympathy vote from the crack heads of Chicago. (Just kidding)
